The same insulated food jar, in color. Pack soup at 7 a.m. and it is still hot at lunch: 14 hours hot, 19 hours cold, with no preheating and no microwave anywhere in the story.

Two walls of 18/8 stainless steel with a vacuum between them. Heat cannot cross a vacuum, so the food keeps its own temperature instead of the room's.

Uncoated inside: no plastic liner, no BPA, no taste carried over from yesterday's curry.

The outer lid is plastic, on purpose: it has to grip when your hands are cold and survive being dropped. Everything your food touches is steel.

The anti-vacuum plug stops a jar packed hot from sealing itself shut as it cools, the detail people appreciate three months in.

Leak-proof screw cap with a silicone seal; it travels lying down.

Dishwasher safe: jar, lid and seal. A spare seal, a spork, a brush and a cotton bag are in the box.

3-year warranty, and lid, seal, stopper, spork and brush are each available separately under food jar spare parts. A worn seal costs a few dollars instead of a new jar.

Which colors are available?
Black, blue, green and bright green, in 18 oz, 24 oz and 34 oz.

Does the thermal coating touch my food?
No. The copper layer sits on the outer wall of the inner body. Your food touches nothing but uncoated 18/8 stainless steel.

Is the lid plastic?
Yes, recycled food-safe plastic with an anti-vacuum plug. It has to grip with cold hands and survive a drop. Everything your food touches inside the jar is steel.

How long does food stay hot?
14 hours hot and 19 hours cold, with no preheating. Rinse it out hot, fill it right up and keep it closed. That is what holds the heat.

Is the food jar leak-proof?
Leak-proof for everyday food, thanks to the silicone seal. Thick soups and stews travel fine. Carry thin, clear soup upright.

Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes, every part of it: jar, lid and seal.

Can I put it in the microwave or the oven?
Neither. Stainless steel does not belong in a microwave, and the vacuum body does not belong in an oven. It keeps food hot on its own, which is the point.

What material is it made from?
18/8 (304) food-grade stainless steel, uncoated inside. BPA-free.

Is it tested for lead?
Independently tested for lead under the US CPSIA, and we retest every year. The current report is on our certificates page. Free to download, no form. All seals are food-safe silicone, BPA-free.

Is this food jar non-toxic?
BPA-free and toxin-free where it is tested: your food touches nothing but uncoated 18/8 steel. The lid is recycled food-safe plastic, and it sits above the food. The lab reports are on our certificates page. We retest every year.

Is it suitable for kids?
Yes. It is compact and fits most lunch bags. The plug keeps the lid easy to open once the food has cooled.

Can I have it engraved?
Yes, on five of our products. The lunch box, both water bottles, the food jar and the travel mug. Express Engraving: order by 1 PM PT and we engrave it the same day. It happens in our own facility in CA. Engraved items cannot be returned, so check the spelling first.

Through our extensive travels in the past, it became even more important to us, for environmental and cost reasons, to always have something to eat and drink on hand. We opted for stainless steel lunch boxes and water bottles. However, these products were of inferior quality: either they were made of cheap stainless steel, were not food-safe, or they leaked. This set our goal: to bring the best lunch box to the market in terms of sustainability, quality, and value for money.

Leak-proof, every day

You surely know how frustrating it is to constantly dry out your backpack because the seal has failed again. We know this all too well, which is why we've made the seal out of solid material and extended the threading for your new thermal food jars. This ensures a clean seal closure and the lid tightens even better.

14 Hours Hot, 19 Hours Cold

Our insulated food jars keep food hot for 14 hours and cold for 19 hours, with no preheating.

Three things hold the heat: rinse the jar hot, fill it to the top, keep it closed until lunch.

Recyclable & Plastic-Free Packaging

Sustainability is a top priority for us! For packaging, we have opted for sustainable and recyclable cardboard. Even with the cardboard, we ensure that as little material as possible is used, to save resources.

How an insulated food jar keeps lunch hot

A vacuum between two steel walls, plus a thermal layer on the outer wall of the inner body. Your food only ever touches uncoated 18/8 steel.

14 hours hot and 19 hours cold, with no preheating. Rinse it out hot, fill it right to the top and keep it closed. That is what holds the heat.

An insulated food jar you refill instead of replace

A warm lunch from home means no takeout container to throw away. That is what an insulated food jar is for. You fill it, you wash it, you fill it again.

Your order ships in cardboard, with as little material as we can manage. No plastic film, no plastic filler. And every wearing part is sold separately, so a worn seal does not end the jar.

Why it does not smell after a month

Steel gives bacteria nothing to hold on to. There is no coating to craze and no plastic to absorb what you carried yesterday.

The lid is recycled food-safe plastic and sits above the food. Take the seal out once a week so it dries fully.

Which size, and who it is for

18 oz for a child or a light lunch. 24 oz for a normal working day. 34 oz when the jar is the whole meal.

The anti-vacuum plug keeps the lid easy to open once the food has cooled. That matters for smaller hands.
