The hot days are just around the corner. What better way to refresh yourself than to treat yourself to a delicious ice cream or sorbet?! Here are 2 of our favorite ice cream recipes for the Stainless Steel Insulated Food Jar for you to try. It not only keeps your food hot for a long time but can also be used to keep cold dishes (and yes, even ice cream) cold and enjoyable for a long time. Have fun trying them out!
Light anf fruity raspberry sorbet straight from the Blockhuette Insulated Food Jar
Ingredients:
500 g organic raspberries (fresh or frozen)
150 ml water
160 g sugar
Zest of 1/2 an untreated organic lemon
Preparation:
Bring the water, sugar, and lemon zest to a boil until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Let the solution cool down and remove the lemon zest.
Puree the raspberries and strain through a fine sieve to remove the seeds.
Mix the raspberry puree with the sugar syrup.
Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
Stir every 30 minutes until the sorbet sets.
Transfer the finished sorbet into the stainless steel Insulated Food Jar for transport and enjoy it directly from the jar later with the spork.
Creamy chocolate ice cream on the go with the Insulated Food Jar
You need:
200 ml milk
100 ml cream
150 g sugar
100 g dark chocolate, chopped
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
How to do it:
Heat the milk, cream, and sugar in a pot until the sugar has dissolved.
Add the chocolate and cocoa powder and stir until the chocolate has melted.
Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract, and let the mixture cool down.
Pour the chocolate mixture into a shallow dish and place in the freezer.
Stir every 30 minutes to prevent the formation of large ice crystals.
